Kate Robards

Kate Robards is an award winning writer, comic, and actor. She recently wrote jokes and monologues for the 2019 Shorty Awards and Bustle Rule Breakers and has written for Kathy Griffin, Stacey Abrams Busy Phillips to name a few. Her work has been hailed as “hilarious and heartbreaking” by The Washington Post.  The San Francisco Chronicle said she has “wry wit.” Her NYC manager says she is “unknown.”

Kate can be seen in New York City at her weekly standup residency at The Blond in SoHo every Tuesday, 9pm. She also hosts two monthly shows: Strawberry Milk, which has sold out continuously for more than a year, and Peach Pit at The Stand, and Cousins which is at the Freehand Hotel.  In addition to stand-up she regularly performs her solo play trilogy at theatre festivals around the country and abroad. In 2019 she performed at festivals and clubs in Maui, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Montreal, and Paris, to name a few. In January 2020 you can see her standup showcase at SF Sketchfest.

Kate’s TV Pilot was a finalist for the 2019 Sundance Episodic Lab. She has received artist residencies at Byrdcliffe, University of Tennessee, Drop Forge and Tool, and was awarded the 2019 Jerome Foundation Scholarship for Americans in the Arts. She has a Masters of Fine Arts in writing from California College of the Arts and been seen on College Humor, Inside Edition, and Vice.
